There’s quite a story behind this striking poster. After suffering for the decade of the 70s, with factory closures and declining population, compounded by a shutdown of the school system, and strikes by the police and firemen (during which looting and rioting occurred, as well as the burning of many buildings, including 15 buildings on a single block) the great people of Toledo decided they needed to try to turn things around by having a party. So, various civic booster organizations decided to put on TOLEDOFEST, which was a sensation, because Toledoeans love Toledo. The tradition lives on today as the Toledo Jeep Fest. Poster is approximately 38 inches long and 25 inches wide.
